Red Jonaprince was discovered in Weert, Holland in 1994 as a natural sport mutation of Jonagold variety. It is large and extra large in size. Its skin is shiny and smooth and in 90 to 100% its blush is very intensive and great, what makes it very attractive for a potential buyer. Red Jonaprince has more sugar and harder core than other Jonagold clones but also a lot of anthocyanin. Its flesh is very crispy and juicy.
