Pear Carmen

Carmen is a pear variety from Italy, created by a cross between the Guyot and Bella di Giugno varieties in 1980. It represents an early summer variety of pear that is harvested in the middle of July. It ripens 25 days before Williams pear. Carmen has an attractive pear-shape with a thin neck, and a green-yellow base color covered with an intense red blush that covers 20-30% of the fruit. It can be stored in the refrigerator for 2 to 4 months.
